The "e-SafetyWomen" project aims to raise awareness about the growing issues of digital violence and gender-based violence (GBV) against women and girls, and to create safe online spaces. Implemented in collaboration with four partner organizations, this project seeks to educate young people about the risks they face in the digital world and to promote universal values such as human rights, gender equality, and non-violent communication.
Research shows that 38% of women with internet access have experienced online violence, and 58% of young women aged 15-25 have faced digital harassment. These statistics highlight the urgent need to take steps to prevent and combat digital violence.
Our project is aligned with the European Union's gender equality strategies, the Istanbul Convention, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and digital transformation objectives. By contributing to the personal and social development of young people, we aim to build a violence-free society and create safe digital spaces for everyone.
The "e-SafetyWomen" project continues its efforts to empower young people, raise awareness, and build a future based on gender equality.
